History of MKI

01 Initial Consultation

MKI (Masyarakat Ketenagalistrikan Indonesia) was formed and established on September 3, 1998, in Jakarta by stakeholders in the electricity sector.

02 Strategy Development & Implementation

MKI is a stakeholder organization that facilitates the creation of a forum to generate ideas for fostering the growth and development of Indonesia’s electricity industry, both nationally and internationally.

03 Reviews & Finalization

MKI’s membership includes all elements directly involved and related to Indonesia’s electricity activities, both national and international. This encompasses electricity players from upstream to downstream, including individuals, companies, professional associations, and consumers.

Strategy Development & Implementation

In accordance with Article 5 of Law Number 15 of 1985 concerning Electricity, in an effort to develop a broad and integrated foundation for the national electricity master plan, the Indonesian Government needs to obtain input, opinions, and views from the public and the industry.

With its comprehensive membership scope, MKI is an ideal partner for the government to provide broad and high-quality input and views, covering aspects of technology, business, and regulation.
